Do’s and Don’ts of being a TIM
-
Do offer your knowledge to everyone.

Do be aware of the skills of your staff by having them take the CUSD survey.

Do test the technology before a training.

Do check in with your trainees after a session.
-
Do keep communicating throughout the year with your staff.
-
Do have your trainees do the EdTechProfile at the conclusion of your training.
-
Do log your hours for training and support as you complete them.
-
Do focus your efforts on those who want it.
-
Do use other TIMs for support and ideas.
-
Don’t get stuck doing hardware support or operating system-type support.
-
Don’t offer one-on-one repeatedly to the same person…invite others…
-
Don’t get frustrated if interest is limited!
